What It's Like to Work a 24-Hour Shift at a Chick-fil-A
Unlimited waffle fries are definitely a positive, but exhausting physical labor is a negative.
If you've ever worked in fast food, you know that any shift can be a tiring experience, but Andrew Knowlton, Deputy Editor of Bon Appetit, took it one step further. He went into the trenches and worked a 24-hour shift at the original Chick-Fil-A restaurant, known as the Dwarf House, in Hapeville, Ga.
Andrew tries out every position you can have at the Dwarf House, including cook, pie maker, counter cashier, drive-thru window cashier and server, where he is encouraged to say, "My pleasure!" in response to customers' thanking him rather than "You're welcome."
How does Andrew survive 24 hours in this extremely fast-paced fast-food restaurant? Watch the video below from Bon Appetit.
