Like in most countries, American teenagers who get in trouble with the law face going to court and potentially being fined and even sent to jail. But a growing initiative is letting teenagers get a chance to be judged by their peers instead.
Rather than going through the traditional juvenile court system, they are put through a youth court where other teenagers act as jurors, lawyers, and sometimes even judges.
