One country's environmental concerns can affect the whole world. This is best illustrated by the fact that Norway is in the process of paying Brazil $1 billion for their rainforest conservation efforts. Norway pledged to do this in 2008 and seven years later, not only has Brazil met their conservation effort goals, they've surpassed them, reducing deforestation by 75%.

We are affected globally by every country's pollution. India's coal burning, the U.S.'s methane emission from factory farms, and China's car pollution have all contributed to environmental damages around the world. Norway and Brazil are two nations stepping up and taking responsibility for this and will hopefully will encourage other countries to follow in their footsteps.
