Join Seeker in participating in the Zero Waste Challenge this Tuesday April 14th! Do you think you could go an entire 24 hours without producing any trash?
Think about what you do everyday and the small changes you could make to reduce the waste you produce. Global journalist and executive producer of Going Off Grid, Laura Ling, is inviting you to participate in this challenge that will help us all learn how to be less wasteful and save our planet's precious resources.
Watch our newest episode of Going Off Grid about Lauren Singer, the young New York woman who has only produced a single mason jar of trash over the course of two years! Then participate in the Zero Waste Challenge yourself by tweeting us a photo of the trash you produce in one day to @SeekerNetwork with the hashtag #zerowaste.
Let us know how it went! Was it harder than you thought it would be? What were some of the things that surprised you about this challenge? Will you take your learnings with you to reduce your waste in the future?
For every photo we receive tagging @SeekerNetwork and #zerowaste, we will donate $1 to Keep America Beautiful, a leading national nonprofit that provides the expertise, programs and resources to help people reduce waste and litter, recycle right, and protect the natural areas in which we live.
Happy zero wasting!
