Karen Finley, a provocative and well-known performance artist, is plotting a series of paintings inspired by sexts. The works will be well-hung later this month at the New Museum in New York City as part of an interactive installation called "Sext Me If You Can."

Patrons wanting to bare their bits via bytes must first process their commissioning fee online or in person at the New Museum Store. Prices range from $200 works on paper to smaller and larger oval canvases for $300 and $500, respectively. Patrons are then asked to return to the museum for a a ten-minute, onsite sitting during performance times.
"Sittings are completely private, discrete, and anonymous," states New Museum's website. "During your sitting, you will receive access to a private phone number for the purpose of sending Finley a ‘sext.' This sext will, in turn, serve as the inspiration for a painting, or series of paintings, created by the artist in a temporary studio set up in the New Museum Lobby."
