The British Museum is home to a lot of extraordinary and very old artifacts - including this Danish tabernacle, also known as a portable shrine.

The tabernacle already looks intricate and gorgeous on the outside, but did you know that you could open it up, almost as if it were blossoming? Inside are very small, micro-carved depictions of Jesus and fighting Romans. It's as elegant as anything can get.
