These Baby Turtles Could Help Save The Rain Forest
Their food digestion helps reforest the land!
Bolivia has released over 10 million baby turtles into the wild since 2007. These turtles are crucial to the rain forest's eco-system because their food digestion actually helps reforest the land. Sadly they're being depleted at a rapid rate due to the high demand of their meat and the eggs they produce. Luckily, Brazil has jumped onboard as well and the preservation of South America's rain forest has become an international effort.
