Today is one that will go down in history. The Supreme Court ruled in favor to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide. But why are so many people against the idea of gay marriage in the first place?
A lot of it has to do with religious beliefs. However, as John Green explains in this video, what we tend to think of as "traditional marriages" throughout history, aren't really as traditional as you might think.
Ultimately, marriage is an extremely personal thing. It's about the two people within the marriage and the promises they make to each other. It's not about the judgement or criticisms of others.
