One of the biggest hassles of backpacking is finding a way to get your sweat-soaked clothes clean. A local laundromat? Sure that's an option, but what if you're in the middle of nowhere?
Ashley Newland designed a bag to wash clothes while climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. The Scrubba Wash Bag includes a flexible internal washboard. To use, add detergent, water and clothes into the bag. Functioning like traditional washboards, Newland says the bag only needs 40 seconds of scrubbing to get clothes clean. Rinse, hang dry and that gross musk should be gone. The video below demonstrates how it works.
