Gravitational Waves Detected in Major Scientific Discovery

Researchers from the LIGO observatory made the historic announcement today

Confirming one of Albert Einstein's most significant predictions, researchers at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) confirmed that they were able to detect two simultaneous gravitational waves. These waves were caused by the collision of two black holes more than one billion light years away from us.
