As Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader has always dressed for success. His all-black fashion-forward style has inspired generations of Force adepts to at least consider the Dark Side, just because it looks so much cooler than whatever Luke is wearing.
Good news from the Pacific Northwest this week: For the Sith Lord on the go, the Washington-based Ural Motorcycles has manufactured a limited run of Darth Vader inspired motorcycles, complete with sidecar and lightsaber.
Turbine-Powered Jet Bike Guns For 400 Mph
The Dark Force motorcycle is totally murdered out, as the young Padawans like to say, with all-black body and engine. The bike even has an ebony exhaust system made from black ceramic pipes.
"From a factory far, far away; nestled in the Ural Mountains, comes the Dark Force," reads the breathless marketing copy on the company home page. "Inspired by the world of Star Wars, we created a motorcycle that lets your inner child explore the dark side with little damage to the real world balance of power. Come to the dark side ... we've got sidecars!"
Ural specializes in sidecars, actually, and the Dark Side model comes with an all-black model perfect for bringing along your Sith apprentice. The 2.9 cubic foot trunk is a nice option for droid storage.
Is New Star Wars Movie (or Anything Else) So New?
Other specs include an upgraded high-visibility LED headlamp, waterproof "enduro bench" seating and a 749-cc, two-cylinder, flat-twin engine. List price is $14,999, but the Dark Force is a strictly limited-run edition. Only 25 models are available. Participating dealerships are mapped on the Ural website, for plotting hyperspace coordinates.
Oh, yeah - and you really do get a lightsaber.
