The finalists have just been announced in the 2016 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards competition. Now completing its second year, the contest highlights the lighter side of life in the animal kingdom in an effort to underscore the organizers' passion for wildlife conservation.
The contest is run by two men who promise their names are Paul and Tom (Joynson-Hicks and Sullam, respectively; both photographers). They're among a group of judges - "the most exclusive, erudite, talented and of course funny, selection of judges," we're assured - that on Wednesday Nov. 9 will announce the winning picture.
Until then, below is a sampling of the fun, courtesy of the 2016 finalists. (You can check out all of the finalists here.) Enjoy!
