Wal-Mart Workers Plan Black Friday Walkout: A growing number of Wal-Mart employees are threatening to walk off the job on Black Friday, the biggest retail shopping day of the year. The workers are protesting low wages and benefit cuts. Wal-Mart charges that outside union agitators are making trouble for the the world's largest retailer, which historically has not had a union. In the past, Wal-Mart has typically thrived in economically depressed regions where people have been grateful for jobs. But the company is expanding into bigger urban areas such as Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston and seeing pushback from workers used to better conditions.  Both sides have filed grievances with the National labor Relations board.
