Redefining Misogyny:

In response to Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard's fiery speech against sexism, the editors of Australia's English dictionary are now rewriting the definition of misogyny to more accurately reflect how the word has been used in society over the last 30 years. Australia's Macquarie Dictionary, the authority on the English language in Australia, currently defines misogyny as "hatred of women," but will now add a second definition to include "entrenched prejudice against women."
