Looking for a tablet PC you can drop without worry?

Well, you’re in luck because a new Toughbook tablet is coming this month.

The CF-H2 is a rugged tablet PC running Windows 7 with a 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 2 gigabytes of RAM, a 10.1-inch weatherproof LED screen viewable in direct sunlight and a 160 gigabyte hard drive that can be upgraded to a 128 gigabyte solid-state drive.

Panasonic’s Toughbooks are meant to last. To demonstrate just how rugged its machines are, Panasonic approached TechCrunch in 2009 to give it a test run. The blog decided to run the Toughbook over with an SUV. The verdict: (almost) unscatched.

Durability does come with a price — the tablet will sell for about $2,400, TechCrunch reported.
