Gadgets don’t have long lifespans, they will always be upgraded to the brightest and newest version of their former glory. Gaming consoles are no exception, so the shelf life that Xbox 360 has been able to maintain these past fews years is pretty impressive. All that’s about to change, according to the new report that says Microsoft is planning a next-gen console launch in 2013.

NEWS: Videogame Uses Camera to Target Ads

According to GameSpot, some Microsoft employees have even updated their LinkedIn accounts to say that they are working on hardware, with Jeff Faulker listed as creative director for the “Xbox Next Gen.”  In the same report, Lionhead is working on “Fable Next” for the new console, EA and Crytek are rumored to be in development stages as well.
