We’re just under a week away from the 2012 North American International Auto Show, but Lexus has just released a second set of teaser photos of its LF-LC 2+2 hybrid sport coupe concept that is going to be unveiled at the show. The LF-LC was at created at the company’s Calty design studio in Newport Beach, California and is said to be a preview of Lexus’ new design direction.

Lexus hasn’t released any official details about the hybrid powertrain that powers the concept, other than stating, “the LF-LC is envisioned as offering Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive to deliver both driving performance and fuel efficiency.

It’s being reported that Lexus is currently pondering the idea of a new 2+2 coupe that could be the successor to the SC430 and go head to head with the Mercedes-Benz SL.
