Jogging Lessens Ciggie Addiction: If you want to quit smoking but haven't had much success, here's a suggestion: jog. The Atlantic Wire reports that breaking a sweat for just a little while lessons cravings for nicotine.

We're not talking anything crazy here: "…short bouts of physical activity acutely decrease cigarette cravings," says the report, which added that could be walking, running, fast cycling or isometric exercise. Or all of them.

The study The Atlantic cited looked at the participant data from 19 studies, which make the findings quite reliable.

A single session of excercise reduced nicotine cravings in the study subjects by about a third, but what's not clear is whether excercise really is an effective long-term strategy for quitting smoking. But why not try it?
