'Jedi' Is Most Popular Alt Faith: Census figures released this week from England and Wales show that when asked what religion people identify with, 176,632 people who marked "other religions," said "Jedi Knight." The faith goes back to the 2001 census, when a nationwide campaign got 391,127 people to identify themselves as the fictional Star Wars warrior. This year, the number of people who claimed the alternative faith dropped by more than 50 per cent, but it was still the most selected "alternative" faith on the Census. It's not the only "other" faith stated; 6,242 people subscribe to the Heavy Metal religion. via Telegraph
