Six-Year-Old Spelling Bee Champ Trips: Lori Anne Madison, at six years old, was the youngest Scripps National Spelling Bee contestant. She made it through the first round yesterday with the word "dirigible." But in the second round, she lost on the word "ingluvies" — "part of some animals' esophagus."

"The home-schooler from Woodbridge started the word "ingluvies" with an "e," according to the Washington Post.

Once she made her way back to her seat after the mistake, she accepted high fives from fellow spelling bee-ers. via the Washington Post.
