Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency to Drop Blackberry: The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) is replacing thousands of Blackberry smartphones with iPhones — a purchase expected to cost about $2.1 million.

Before deciding to switch, the agency compared Apple's iOS-based devices with Google Inc's Android operating system and concluded that Apple's services offered more security since it has tighter controls on hardware and software.
