Fahrradi Farfalla FFX Looks Like a Ferrari, but is Pedal-Powered
Here’s a Ferrari replica that may look like the Ferrari FXX track car, but there is one big difference. The Fahrradi Farfalla FFX is not powered by a powerful engine, but instead is pedal powered. Yup that means you can think of the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX as more of a stylish bike than a true supercar. The 220 pound Fahrradi Farfalla FFX has room for two passengers, two sets of pedals and 11 gears.
The Fahrradi Farfalla FFX was created by Austrian artist Hannes Langwelder and is a follow up to the “Ferdinand GT3 RS. The name Fahrradi is German for bicycle, while Farfalla translates to butterfly in Italian. The butterfly reference refers to the fact that the rear axle moves the wing doors while driving, resulting in a wing beat similar to that of a butterfly.
How much does the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX cost? It’s currently on display at the LENTOS Museum of Art in Linz, Austria and is available for £1.2 million.
