Domino's Adds Human-Recorded Engine Sounds to its Silent Scooters

There is such a thing as too quiet a car. First World problem it might be, but electric vehicles’ lack of engine noise can pose a real issue for road safety, especially for pedestrians and bikers, which is why Domino’s in the Netherlands decided to add a bit of noise to its electric delivery scooters.
Domino’s Safe Sound plays a recorded track of a person saying “vroooom…Domino’s…pizza” as the scooters zip down streets. There’s even a human-recorded idle engine sound.
Hey it’s better than nothing, right? Actually, it’s better than that — it’s hilarious, and judging by the video below, the Dutch people think so too.
