Born and raised in Alaska, Jason Tongen (aka JT) first ventured overseas as a foreign exchange student to Australia for a year. After graduating from Southern Oregon University with a degree in video production, he traveled around the world for a full year and landed in Holland, where he resided for two years. Upon return to the U.S. he made his way to San Francisco where he created two small travel franchises for Current TV before becoming a freelance producer.
