Since last summer, BMW’s M5 has held the crown as world’s fastest sedan. To capitalize on its right to brag, BMW Canada produced “Bullet,” a high-speed video packed with slow-motion, chronicling an M5′s journey from the “barrel” of a “gun” through a series of obstacles, eventually crashing into and right through the dead center of a target.
In the real world, the barrel is a concrete tunnel, and the M5 is shot out by its own acceleration, not gun powder. Racing through a desert landscape, it destroys a large apple made from what looks like glass or plastic. Then it passes under three enormous water balloons, all popped by its antenna. But by the time the water falls, the car is long gone.
The M5 features 560hp, does 0 to 62mph in just 4.4 seconds, has a top speed of 155mph, and completed the northern ring of the Nürburgring race track in Germany in a blazing 7 minutes, 55 seconds. In “Bullet,” after passing through its final target, the M5 continues at full speed, seemingly ready to drive forever.
