A Nation Pauses: Today, people across the country and the world will pause at 9:30 a.m. ET.

It was about that time last Friday, when gunman Adam

Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed 20 first-graders and six adults before taking his own life.

For five minutes bells will ring and people will remember the 26 slain in Newtown, Conn.

Since the tragedy, we have discussed the issues of gun control and mental health.

But, this moment, let's remember the lives extinguished by Friday's senseless act.
